Florien is a village of around 600 people in Sabine Parish, Louisiana, situated in the hilly piney-woods region near the Texas border. The community is surrounded by the Kisatchie National Forest and is close to Hodges Gardens State Park — once known as the "Garden in the Forest" for its stunning botanical displays.
